Mr. Amell has over 35 years of experience in the US Navy and Marine Industry providing support for Navy Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence (C4I) systems and Navy Ship Hull, Mechanical and Electrical (HM&E) systems. Experience includes the areas of business development, engineering, operations leadership and support. Steve is Vice President of Corporate Business Development at Life Cycle Engineering (LCE). He has served as LCE's SPAWAR Account Manager and as a senior level manager responsible for supporting LCE’s Federal Solutions Group Business Unit’s strategic planning and business development activities for DoD and federal markets including Space and Naval Warfare Command, Naval Sea Systems Command, Department of Veteran’s Affairs, Air Mobility Command, U.S. Transportation Command and the Defense Information Systems Agency.
Prior to joining LCE in 1986, Mr. Amell worked at Charleston Naval Shipyard for almost 8 years in the Combat Systems Office. He received a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of South Carolina and is a graduate of the American Council of Engineering Companies Senior Executive Institute. Mr. Amell has been a CDCA Board Member since 2010 and is the Chairperson of the Political Relations Committee and Co-chair of the Strategic Think Tank Committee. He serves as a member of the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce Military Policy Council representing CDCA.
