Red Hoover currently holds the position of Vice President and Division Manager of the Engineering and Technical Services (ETS) Division under the Systems Engineering & Mission Support (SEMS) Business Unit at ManTech International Corporation. Mr. Hoover is responsible for the business and operations at seven key ManTech offices.
As Division Manager for Engineering and Technical Services, he leads a team of highly qualified engineers and technicians in several specialty areas such as C4I integration, C2 software development, C4I virtualization training, IA certification, underwater acoustics, combat systems training and safety, and shipyard IT enterprise support.
Mr. Hoover’s previous experience includes over twenty-seven years of active duty service in the U.S. Navy as an Engineering Duty Officer. His latest assignment was serving as the Major Program Manager for Naval Command and Control Directorate (IWS 6). He also served as the Commanding Officer of Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic.
Mr. Hoover has extensive experience as a Navy Engineer and Program Manager at both SPAWAR and NAVSEA commands to include over twelve years’ experience in Washington, DC. He received special recognition for his extensive work in the area of Joint Track Management and Interoperability to include receiving the 2012 AFCEA Copernicus Award. He also received the Distinguished Alumni Award from the University of Michigan-Flint for his efforts in mentoring engineering graduates. He was a Judge for the 2014 Palmetto Regional FIRST Robotics Competition. He has recently been selected to participate on the SSC Atlantic Executive Industry Council.
