After the resounding success of the Charleston Defense Contractors Association's inaugural Eastern Defense Summit, this year’s event is on track to break attendance and sponsorship records.
CHARLESTON, S.C. – Registration for the second annual Eastern Defense Summit, hosted by the Charleston Defense Contractors Association (CDCA), officially opened on Sept. 10, and registrations are on pace to shatter last year’s record
numbers.
The summit is scheduled to be held Dec. 11 and 12 at the Charleston Area Convention Center in North Charleston, South Carolina. The event is attended by military service members, civilians in the defense sector, academia and companies who
provide services and capabilities to the defense industry from around the nation.
The inaugural Eastern Defense Summit was held last December and drew more than 2,000 attendees, the most ever for the annual event, previously known as the CDCA Defense Summit for 15 years prior to becoming the Eastern Defense Summit.
Besides becoming one of the largest gatherings of military leadership in the U.S., the Eastern Defense Summit is a setting where the latest in defense technology specializing in command, control, communications, computers, combat systems,
cyber, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (C6ISR) are on display and showcased.
So far, this year’s event is on pace to shatter records set last year.
Sponsorships are 75 percent sold out already; a record for CDCA at this time of the year.
More exhibit booths have already been sold for this year’s summit before the opening of registration than at any point in CDCA’s 16-year history.
