Due to the current government shutdown and associated guidance, we will not be able to hold the 72nd SBIOI on October 15–16, 2025, as planned. Our priority is to ensure that the SBIOI maintains the high-quality experience that our attendees expect, and under the current circumstances, we are unable to do so.

We are exploring options to reschedule the event, if possible, and will share details should a new date become available. We sincerely appreciate your understanding and patience during this time.

Strategic Business Industry Outreach Initiave (SBIOI)

Connecting Government and Industry to Drive Collaboration and Innovation

The CDCA Strategic Business Industry Outreach Initiative (SBIOI) brings government and industry together in a collaborative forum to discuss the most pressing challenges facing the Defense Industrial Base (DIB) today. Each event convenes over 500 professionals to share insights, explore emerging initiatives, and build relationships that carry forward throughout the year.

Originally launched as the Small Business Industry Outreach Initiative (SBIOI) Symposium, the SBIOI continues to prioritize opportunities for small and emerging businesses while fostering collaboration across large and established companies. These events serve as a launching point for topics, partnerships, and initiatives that evolve into actionable insights at the Eastern Defense Summit (EDS) and beyond.
