High-profile defense leaders headline second annual Eastern Defense Summit in mid-Decemember

The Charleston Defense Contractors Association’s second annual Eastern Defense Summit is set to feature high-profile speakers, exhibitors and sponsors from across the country as the mid-December event draws near.

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. – The second annual Eastern Defense Summit, held by the Charleston Defense Contractors Association (CDCA) in North Charleston each year, is expected to feature high-profile military, defense and academic speakers, sponsors and exhibitors.

The two-day event, scheduled for Dec. 11-12, previously called the Annual Defense Summit, has been hosted by CDCA for more than a decade. It expanded last year to include attendees, sponsors and exhibitors from a much broader region. It will be held at the North Charleston Area Convention Center.

“Collaborating on actionable solutions for our nation’s pacing threats” is the theme of the summit, and will highlight growing foreign threats to the United States as well as solutions to combat those threats.

This year's Eastern Defense Summit will feature over 140 exhibitors, filling over 20,700 square feet of exhibit space and showcasing an impressive range of innovation and expertise. The lineup features an incredible diversity of companies, from innovative small businesses to well-known Fortune 500 companies. This dynamic showcase offers attendees unparalleled opportunities to explore groundbreaking solutions, build connections, connect, learn, and collaborate with leading organizations of all sizes. The Eastern Defense Summit will also feature CDCA’s trademark Innovation Pitch Jam, where four different government hosted prize challenges will consist of eighteen (18) defense industry companies showcasing their latest innovations. The winner is awarded at the end of the Summit.
